“Umrah Plus” Project Presented in Malaysia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the “Umrah Plus” project was presented by the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of the country’s diplomatic mission in Malaysia.

The event was attended by representatives of Malaysian authorities responsible for Hajj and Umrah, the Committee on Religious Affairs, tourism companies, entrepreneurs, and journalists.

During the presentation, the organizers highlighted the infrastructure and services developed to promote ziyarat tourism in Uzbekistan, including improvements to the Center of Islamic Civilization and the Imam al-Bukhari complex.

Special attention was given to the potential for combining pilgrimages to Mecca and Medina with visits to Uzbekistan’s sacred and historic cities, such as Samarkand and Bukhara.

Entrepreneurs expressed interest in participating in the project and signed the first agreements on joint cooperation.

The “Umrah Plus” project is aimed at strengthening friendship and expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia, as well as creating new opportunities for international tourism and pilgrimage routes.
