Ukrainian President appoints new ambassador to Uzbekistan

In line with the decree, Yuriy Savchenko was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Uzbekistan.

In this post, Yuriy Savchenko replaced Vyacheslav Pohvalskiy, who was fired in June 2010.

Prior to appointment, Savchenko worked as deputy head of direction of international cooperation, interstate relations and foreign economy politics of Department on Economic Policy of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
