Ukrainian company to construct compressor station in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ukraine’s PJSC Sumy Frunze NPO will construct booster compressor station at Alan field in Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan, RIA Novosti reported quoting source in Uzbekneftegaz.

The agency said that the cost of contract is about US$70 million. British Unix Techno, representing Ukrainian firm, won a tender, which was announced in November 2012 with the starting price of US$77 million. The company will produce, supply and install booster compressor station with the capacity of 5 billion cubic meters of gas a year. It is expected that the contact will be signed by the end of March.

Construction of booster compressor station will be conducted within the project on construction of Alan gas field with total cost of US$178.3 million. The project will support gas production from the field in depleted gas reservoir energy pressure.

Alan field has been launched for exploitation in the second half of 1970s. There is no data on its reserves. Uzbekneftegaz has capacity to produce 70 billion cubic meters of gas and 8 million tonnes of liquid hydrocarbons.
