Ukraine wants to establish strategic partnership with Uzbekistan - envoy
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Ukraine works on establishment of strategic partnership with Uzbekistan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Uzbekistan Vycheslav Pohvalskiy said at the press conference in Tashkent.
Ukrainian envoy said that economies of two countries do not compete in global market, but fulfill each other.
Envoy said that bilateral trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Ukraine grew 3.9% year-on-year to US$785.7 million in the first half of 2009, according to the statistics of Uzbekistan. He added that Ukraine’s exports to Uzbekistan rose by 21.6% to US$437.7 million.
