Ufuk Ulutaş appointed as Türkiye’s new ambassador to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, received copies of the credentials from Ufuk Ulutaş, the newly appointed Ambassador of Türkiye to the republic.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that Tashkent and Ankara continue to actively cooperate both bilaterally and within the framework of expanded regional engagement.
"Our joint efforts will contribute to the prosperity and development of both countries," said Bakhtiyor Saidov, expressing confidence in the further strengthening of Uzbek-Turkish relations.
The foreign minister congratulated Ufuk Ulutaş on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic mission.
The new ambassador replaces Olgan Bekar, who completed his tenure in Uzbekistan in February 2025.
