Tyazhmash to take part in construction of copper-concentrating complex in Uzbekistan
Farmanov said that the RIMS attracted Tyazhmash to implementation of the project and the company created a consortium. Tyazhmash is the main participant here, he added.
AGMK chief said that to date the RIMS prepared a technological schedule for enrichment of the complex being built, and is also continuing work on preparing a preliminary feasibility study of the project.
According to him, deliveries of the main technological equipment from Russia within the framework of the project can begin in the second half of 2018.
He said that the company is actively conducting overburden operations at the field and it is planned to carry out 3.2 million cubic meters of work. He added that the company is ahead of schedule.
In August, the AGMK started development of the Yoshlik-I field. According to the AGMK, the development of the field at a total cost of about US$1.7 billion envisages open-cast mining of up to 28 million tonnes of ore a year. The implementation period of the project is 2017-2028.
