Tyazhmash to supply equipment to AGMK

Open joint stock company Tyazhmash signed a contract with Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine to supply equipment for reconstruction of mineral processing complex with cost of US$73.9 million.
RIA Novosti reported quoting representative of AGMK said that Russian company will supply crusher and replace choppers of copper processing complex of AGMK on “turn-key” basis. The contract will be implemented within 1.5 years.
The project cost is US$118 million and envisages of copper processing complex of AGMK. In the result of modernization, the complex will grow by 20% to 35 million tonnes of processed ores a year.
The need to increase the capacity is connected with attraction of off-balance ores of Kalmakyr field and expansion of mining at Sary-Cheku, which is main raw base of the enterprise.
The project will be financed due to loan of Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan for US$80 million, Ipoteka Bank – US$32 million and own source of AGMK – US$6 million.
