Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Two workers were killed in an explosion at an iron foundry in Namangan region. The incident happened on 15 February. This was reported by the press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office of Uzbekistan Khayot Shamsutdinov.
According to him, the explosion occurred due to an increase in steam pressure in the autoclave.
A criminal case has been initiated under article 257 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (violation of labor protection rules that resulted in the death of a person). An investigation is underway.
