Two Uzbek universities sign a cooperation agreement with the University of Nagoya

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- With the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan, the leading higher educational institutions of the republic: the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, as well as the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, have signed memorandums of cooperation with the Nagoya University of Economics, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo said.

The agreements envisage the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in training specialists in the field of foreign policy, international relations, international law, international economic relations, foreign trade, political science, international tourism, journalism, etc.

Forms of interaction development include academic exchanges of teachers and students, scientific and educational literature and methodology, the implementation of joint projects and research, scientific conferences, seminars and symposia, language training, etc.

It was noted that currently over 20 students from Uzbekistan study at the Nagoya University of Economics, which makes it the largest university in the central region of Chubu for the admission of Uzbek students. In addition, the teaching staff of NEU organized a series of lectures on economic diplomacy for students of a number of universities in the republic.

Agreements were reached to hold further negotiations on the saturation of agreements with specific projects, including in terms of mutual exchange of students and the development of a double degree program.

During a videoconference with representatives of the Nagoya University of Economics, the organization of a scientific and practical conference on accession to the WTO in July 2021 was also discussed.
