Two Tajik citizens arrested for drug smuggling

Two citizens of Tajikistan were arrested for smuggling of 20.63 kg of raw opium. The drugs were found in the sport bag in 20 polyethylene packages.

The arrested persons received the drugs from unknown citizen of Tajikistan, who was planning to sell the drugs for US$2,500 per kg in territory of Bulungur district of Samarkand region.

Another person was arrested in Bulungur district, who was responsible for smuggling of drugs from Tajikistan to Samarkand region.

The criminal case on this fact has been opened.
