Tuyabuguz hydropower station commissioned in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A new hydropower station was commissioned at the Tuyabuguz reservoir in Urtachirchiq district of Tashkent region.

The construction of the Tuyabuguz hydropower plant was started in 2017. The power plant is 12 megawatts.

The station will generate an average of 41.2 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year.

It should be noted that the cost of the project is almost US$15.8 million. The volume of foreign investments is US$8 million and the funds of Uzbekgidroenergo are US$7.7 million.

Uzbekistan plans to build 42 new and modernize 32 existing hydroelectric power plants.
