Turnover of UZSE makes up 77.1bn soums in 1H
The exchange said that some 568 deals with 84.503 million securities of 88 joint stock companies worth 65.9 billion soums were registered in January-January 2012. The deals with 11,000 corporate bonds of one issuer for 11.2 billion soums were also recorded in the reporting period.
Share of the IPO market made up 74.7% in total turnover in January-June 2012 or 57.6 billion soums, the UZSE said. It added that the volume of deals in IPO market rose almost five times compared to the same period of 2011 (11.5 billion soums).
The secondary market of UZSE accounted deals for 19.5 billion soums, which makes up 25.3% of total turnover of UZSE in the first six months of 2012.
Securities of financial institutions mainly attracted interest of investors. About 72.3% of deals or 55.7 billion soums were conducted with stocks of financial organizations. At the same time, 67% of turnover or 51.6 billion soums fell to share of banks, 1.7% or 1.3 billion soums – to insurance companies and 3.7% or 2.8 billion soums – to leasing firms.
Share of industry in total turnover was 17.4% or 13.4 billion soums, agro-industrial complex – 3.9% or 3 billion soums and construction industry enterprises – 1.3% or 1 billion soums.
