Turnover of UZSE exceeds 97.6bn soums in 2014

Total turnover of Uzbekistan Stock Exchange (UZSE) with securities made up 97.6 billion soums in 2014, which grew by 5% compared to 2013 (93.2 billion soums in 2013).
The exchange recorded 893 deals (941 deals in 2013) with 178.34 million shares of 120 public companies for 89.3 billion soums and 7,700 bonds of 4 issuers for 8.3 billion soums in the reporting period.
Share of IPO market in total volume of deals made up 65.4 billion soums or 67% in January-December 2014. At the same time, the turnover of IPO market was 11.2% compared to 2013 (58.8 billion soums).
Share of the secondary market made up 33% or 32.2 billion soums in January-December 2014, which fell by 6% compared to 2013 (34.3 billion soums in 2013), of which 1.25 billion soums were conducted with corporate bonds and 1 billion soums were REPO deals.
Trade turnover of UZSE with corporate bonds made up 36 billion soums in 2013, while in 2014 the figure fell by 4 times and reached 8.3 billion soums.
