Turkish President receives members of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 February 2022, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received members of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States in Istanbul at the Vahdetdin residence.

During the event, it was emphasized that the further strengthening of multifaceted cooperation relations between the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States is of great importance.

Aksakal of Uzbekistan B. Saifullayev first expressed his joy at the recovery of the Turkish leader and noted that the sincere relations between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the head of Turkey Recep Erdogan became the basis for the restoration of friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey.

He also stressed that thanks to the political will of the President of Uzbekistan, not only the atmosphere in Central Asia was completely renewed and good neighborly relations were restored, but also strong fraternal ties were established with the member states of the Organization of Turkic States, and its full-fledged activities were established.

This opinion was supported by Mr. Erdogan, who said that he plans to visit Tashkent at the end of March this year, and expressed confidence that the summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held in autumn in Uzbekistan, will be important for bringing the activities of this Organization to a new level.

“Concluding my speech, I ask you to convey my sincere greetings and best wishes to my brother Shavkat Mirziyoyev,” said Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
