Turkish Investors Express Interest in Entering Uzbekistan’s Pharmaceutical Market
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, held talks with representatives of Turkish companies Rekor Gıda A.Ş., Ferr Pharma İlaç, Asutay Engineering, and KMHI Kurtul Machine.
During the meeting, the head of the agency provided the Turkish delegation with a detailed overview of the current state and growth dynamics of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical sector. Special attention was given to development priorities, the investment climate, and systemic government support measures that are creating favorable conditions for foreign investors.
In particular, the guests were introduced to projects being implemented within the innovative scientific and industrial pharmaceutical cluster, Tashkent Pharma Park.
The Turkish representatives expressed strong interest in entering the Uzbek market and posed a number of follow-up questions concerning the business environment, regulatory framework, and specific cooperation mechanisms.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue exchanging information, establish working-level contacts, and jointly explore potential formats for cooperation on promising investment and production projects.
