Turkish Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Turkish Airlines flight TK163, en route from Ho Chi Minh City to Istanbul, made an emergency landing at Samarkand International Airport.

According to Uzbekistan Airports’ press service, the Boeing 787 crew diverted to the alternate airport due to a sudden deterioration in the health of a passenger on board.

The aircraft landed safely in Samarkand at 03:40 local time. The passenger, a French national born in 1959, received immediate medical attention. Preliminary reports suggest a suspected heart attack. The passenger and two accompanying individuals were transferred to medical services for further evaluation and care.

After all necessary procedures were completed, the flight resumed its journey. Turkish Airlines departed from Samarkand to Istanbul at 05:11 local time.
