Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The governments of Uzbekistan and Turkey signed an agreement on gratuitous assistance in the field of healthcare, Dunyo news agency reported.

As part of the document, Turkey is sending 200,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines and 20,000 boxes of Favipiravir medicines (200mg / 40 tablets) to Uzbekistan.

On behalf of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the agreement was signed by the Ambassador of our country to Turkey Alisher Agzamhodjaev, on behalf of the Republic of Turkey - Deputy Minister of Health Khalil Eldemir.

This batch of vaccines and medicines is sent as a sign of friendship and goodwill from the Turkish side to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Currently, there are five coronavirus vaccines in use in Uzbekistan - ZF-UZ-VAC2001, AstraZeneca, Sputnik V, Moderna and Pfizer / BioNTech.
