Trump: Uzbekistan to Invest US$35 Billion in U.S. Economy Over Three Years
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Uzbekistan will channel nearly US$35 billion into the American economy over the next three years through purchases and investments.
“I am pleased to announce an impressive trade and economic deal between the United States and Uzbekistan,” Trump wrote on the social media platform Truth Social. “Over the next three years, Uzbekistan will purchase goods and invest nearly US$35 billion in key U.S. industries, including the extraction of strategically important minerals, aviation, automotive parts manufacturing, infrastructure, agriculture, energy, chemical industry, information technology, and other sectors.”
He added that over the next ten years, the total volume of investments is expected to exceed US$100 billion.
The U.S. leader expressed gratitude to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and emphasized America’s readiness for “long-term and productive relations” with the republic.
Earlier, Trump met at the White House with the leaders of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan as part of the Central Asia–U.S. summit in the “C5+1” format.
