Trilateral cooperation opens new opportunities for Uzbekistan’s leather industry
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In a recent trilateral meeting of foreign ministers, trade ministers, and transport ministers from Uzbekistan, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, along with a business forum, significant negotiations took place aimed at strengthening economic ties and developing cooperation in various industries, including the leather industry.
Representatives of the "Uzcharmsanoat" association discussed joint project prospects with Turkish companies. One of the most notable projects is the artificial leather production project for the furniture industry in partnership with the Turkish company "SARRE." The importance of this project for the development of Uzbekistan’s furniture industry was highlighted, promising to significantly increase production volumes and improve product quality.
Additionally, the company "Elfa Mimarlik" announced its intention to start operations in Uzbekistan in a new direction. Company representatives were provided with information on ongoing reforms in the leather industry and the conditions created for foreign investors.
The company’s entry into the Uzbek market marks another step toward the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
Also, the company "Amarak," known for its success in the European market, plans to launch the production of specialized footwear and textile products for Europe in collaboration with Uzbek enterprises. The company will visit Uzbekistan next month for talks with local entrepreneurs and to clarify the conditions for project implementation.
These agreements and partnerships will open new horizons for Uzbekistan’s leather industry, promoting further production development and expanding export opportunities. Cooperation with Turkey and Azerbaijan will significantly strengthen the country’s position on the international stage and attract additional investments into key sectors of the economy.
