Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- There are plans to return trams to Tashkent. This was announced by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a working visit to the Samarkand region.

“We want to return trams to Tashkent. There are a lot of letters and appeals from citizens on this issue,” the President said.

It should be noted that in August 2016 it was decided to dismantle the tram lines in Tashkent. In 2017, tram movement was established in Samarkand.
