Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Train speed restrictions have been implemented across Uzbekistan due to extreme heat.

According to the press service of JSC “Uztemiryulyovchi,” the measures were introduced in response to rising air temperatures and the significant heating of steel components and railway tracks. The restrictions are aimed at ensuring the safety of train operations and protecting passengers.

“In trains subject to speed restrictions, cooling systems may operate with reduced efficiency. Additionally, such trains may arrive at their destinations later than scheduled,” the statement reads.
