Traffic restrictions near mosques in Tashkent during Ramadan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In connection with evening prayers during the holy month of Ramadan, temporary traffic restrictions will be in place near mosques in Tashkent daily from 6:00 PM to midnight, starting 28 February. These measures aim to ensure the safety of worshippers and create comfortable conditions for religious observances.

Restrictions will apply to the following streets in various districts of the city:

In Mirzo-Ulugbek District, traffic will be restricted on the section from Durmon Yuli Street to Olimlar Street near Tepa Mosque.

In Bektemir District, restrictions will be imposed near Alibek Mosque, from M. Avezov Street to Husain Bayqaro Street.

In Yashnabad District, traffic will be temporarily limited near Islam Ota Mosque—from the secondary road of Fergana Yuli to Zarkent and Obishir streets—as well as near Ali ibn Abu Talib Mosque, on the stretch from Chulpon Street to Salohiyat Street.

In Mirabad District, the restriction will apply near Valikhoja Ugli Norkhoja Mosque—from the intersection of Yangi Kuiluk and Faiziobod streets to the 5th Faiziobod Passage—and near Kuiluk Ota Mosque, from the intersection of the Tashkent Ring Road (TKAD) and Kuiluk Ota to Yangi Kuiluk Passage.

In Sergeli District, restrictions will be in effect near Maruf Ota Mosque—from Choshtepa Street to the 1st Choshtepa Passage—as well as near Nugaykurgon Mosque, from the intersection of Yangi Sergeli and Nugaykurgon Small Ring Road-Sagban to the intersection of Nurafshan and Sagban streets.

In Yakkasaray District, traffic will be restricted near Usmon bin Ma’zum Mosque—from the intersection of Small Ring Road and Faizli Tashkent to the intersection of SMALL RING ROAD and Kushbegi—near Yakkasaray Mosque, from the intersection of Shota Rustaveli and Yakkasaray streets to the intersection of Yakkasaray and Bogi Buston streets, and near Rakat Mosque, from J. Shoshiy Street to Askiya Street.

In Yangikhayot District, the restriction will affect the road section near Niyozmat Ota Mosque—from the intersection of Tashkent Ring Road and Binokor to the entrance of Pastdargan Mahalla.

In Shaykhontohur District, temporary restrictions will apply near Shaykh Zayniddin (Kukcha) Mosque—from the intersection of Kukcha Darvoza and Nurafshan to the intersection of Kukcha Darvoza and Beshqayragach—and near Kamolon Mosque, from the intersection of Bunyodkor and Kamolon to the intersection of 2nd Kamolon Passage and Ustazoda.

In Almazar District, traffic will be restricted near Hastimom Mosque—from the intersection of Nurafshan and Korasaray to the intersection of Korasaray and Abdulla Qodiriy—as well as near Islomobod Mosque, from the intersection of SMALL RING ROAD and Sagban to the intersection of Nurafshan and Sagban streets. Additionally, restrictions will apply near Dostjonbay (Sulola) Mosque, from the intersection of Sagban and 12th Sagban Passage to the intersection of Keles Yuli and Noraztepa.

In Yunusabad District, restrictions will be imposed near Mirza Yusuf (Badamzar) Mosque, along Bogishamol Street to Shivli Street.

In Uchtepa District, traffic will be restricted near Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (Katta Kani) Mosque—from Katta Kani Roundabout to the intersection of Lutfiy and Katta Khirmontepa streets—as well as near Hazrat Ali Mosque, from the intersection of Nazarbek and Makhorat to the intersection of Nazarbek and 1st Zamakhshari Passage.

In Chilanzar District, the restriction will affect the area near Novza Mosque—along the bridge from the intersection of Bunyodkor and Mukimi to the Oliy Majlis building—near Shaykh Muhammad Sodiq Muhammad Yusuf Mosque, from the intersection of Al-Khwarizmi and Gavhar streets to Sogalli Ota Street, and near Ubay ibn Ka’f (Burijar) Mosque, from Al-Khwarizmi Street to Katta Khirmontepa Street.

Emergency vehicles, including ambulances, police, and rescue services, will be allowed to move freely along these routes.
