Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A traffic accident occurred in the city of Bekabad, Tashkent region, involving a Damas vehicle that struck a pedestrian.

According to the Uzbekistan Road Safety Service, the incident took place on 10 May at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Turan Street in Bekabad. The driver of the Damas, identified as citizen N.J., born in 1999, hit pedestrian A.A., born in 1992, while the latter was crossing the road at a designated pedestrian crosswalk.

As a result of the accident, the pedestrian sustained injuries and was hospitalized at the central hospital of Bekabad.

The city’s law enforcement authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
