Trading Volume on UZSE in June Increased 21-Fold to Over 4 Trillion Soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In June 2025, the Uzbekistan Stock Exchange (UZSE) recorded a significant surge in trading activity. The total trading volume reached 4.06 trillion soums (approximately US$317.02 million), representing a 21-fold increase compared to the same period last year (an increase of 3.86 trillion soums), according to the exchange’s press service.

The majority of transactions—3.45 trillion soums (US$269.87 million), or 85.16% of the total volume—were conducted with securities included in the official exchange quotation list. The remaining trades took place on the organized over-the-counter trading platform.

During the month, a total of 22,821 transactions were executed, which is 44.69% fewer than in June 2024 (down by 18,436 deals). Of these, 19,256 operations involved securities from the quotation list, while 3,565 deals occurred on the over-the-counter platform.

The average daily trading volume amounted to 202.82 billion soums (US$15.85 million), with an average of 1,141 transactions per day. Meanwhile, the Uzbekistan Composite Index (UCI) declined by 3.05% over the month, closing at 639.75 points.

Trading volume in the equities market reached 3.34 trillion soums (US$260.70 million), an 18-fold increase compared to June 2024. The overwhelming majority of deals (3.28 trillion soums) were conducted on the Free of Payment (FoP) platform. The average daily turnover in this segment was 166.90 billion soums (US$13.04 million), with an average of 919 transactions per day.

The total market capitalization of equities decreased by 5.53 trillion soums, or 2.23%, ending the month at 242.77 trillion soums (US$19.19 billion). The free float capitalization stood at 4.09 trillion soums (US$323.50 million). As of June 30, the quotation list included 135 instruments from 93 issuers.

Trading volume in corporate bonds amounted to 116.17 billion soums (US$9.17 million), showing a 37-fold increase compared to June of the previous year. The average daily trading volume in this market was 5.81 billion soums (US$458.36 thousand), with an average daily number of 43 transactions. The market value of bonds listed in the quotation list totaled 1.46 trillion soums (US$115.48 million). By the end of the month, the list contained 17 instruments from 8 issuers.

During the reporting period, 3,565 deals were completed on the over-the-counter platform—a 14.81% increase compared to June 2024. The volume of these transactions reached 602.15 billion soums (US$47.15 million), which is 254 times higher than the same period last year. The traded securities belonged to 93 issuers.

As of the end of June 2025, the exchange quotation list featured 152 instruments from 101 issuers, reflecting the dynamic expansion of Uzbekistan’s capital market infrastructure and the growing investor interest in the market.
