Trades of cotton lint at UZEX grows by 44%

Total volume of sales of cotton lint via electronic exchange trades of Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange (UZEX) made up 11,000 tonnes in six months of 2014, which rose by 44% year-on-year.
Territorial unions of Uzpakhtasanoat Association increase sales of cotton ling of the first grade of B type by twice and their share rose by 54%.
Average monthly offer of cotton lint was 1,200 tonnes in 2013, this year the figure reached 1,800 tonnes. At the same time, the significant growth of offers was observed from February to May, when average monthly offer rose from 860 tonnes to 2,800 tonnes.
The significant changes were also observed in structure of cotton lint sellers. Kashkadaryapakhtasanoat led in the market with the share of 23%, which is 8% less compared to the same period of 2013. This is connected with growth of sales of Ferghanapakhtasanoat and Tashkentpakhtasanoat.
