Trade turnover of Uzbekistan and Russia hits US$5.596bn in 9m

Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia grew by 7.9% year-on-year to US$5.596 billion in January-September 2012, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
The volume of exports from Uzbekistan to Russia made up US$3.88 billion in January-September 2012 against US$3.483 billion in the same period of 2011.
Imports of Uzbekistan from Russia rose from US$1.703 billion to US$1.716 billion in the reporting period, the committee said.
Russia was the largest trade partner of Uzbekistan in January-September 2012 as its share in total turnover made up 28.9%.
Foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan made up US419.374 billion in January-September 2012, or fell by 2.3% year-on-year.
