TRACECA to launch Central Asian project

“Realization of International logistic centers for Central Asia countries” project of TRACECA international transport corridor starts in 2009 January, Secretary General of the organization Rustan Dzhenalinov said.
The main purpose of the project is assistance in international trade and commodity flow through TRACECA corridor by means of modernization of logistic capacities, interaction of nets and multimodal transport. A two-year project will create financial, technical, ecological and institutional conditions and hold researches aimed at the creation of a network of logistic centers in TRACECA corridor.
The constructor of the project SAFEGE Consultants (France) will develop a range of technical-economic substantiations for advanced logistic centers of Central Asia countries, participating in TRACECA corridor, focusing on state-private partnership and effective service.
The project includes four countries of the Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
