Tourist Group from Singapore Warmly Welcomed at Tashkent Airport
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 7 December, the first tourist group from Singapore arrived at Tashkent International Airport, welcomed from a special charter flight operated by Drukair.
The flight was organized as part of a program to attract Singaporean travelers, facilitated by Chan Brothers, one of the largest travel companies in Singapore.
The plane’s arrival became a notable event: it was greeted with a traditional water arch, and visitors in the arrival hall received a warm welcome accompanied by the sounds of national musical instruments. The first 118 tourists were greeted by representatives of the airport and the tourism sector.
The next charter flight from Singapore is scheduled for 14 December, when an additional 90 travelers are expected to arrive in the capital.
Organizing charter flights from Singapore is seen as an important step in developing cooperation and promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in the Asian market.
This travel format allows for the expansion of inbound tourism geography and strengthens interest in the country among international travelers.
