Tourist Arrivals in Uzbekistan Rise Nearly 50% in First Nine Months of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to September 2025, approximately 8.6 million foreign nationals visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes, an increase of 2.8 million people, or 49.3%, compared to the same period last year, according to the National Statistics Committee.
The majority of tourists came from neighboring countries: Kyrgyzstan – 2.4 million, Kazakhstan – 2 million, and Tajikistan – 1.9 million. Russia contributed 757,100 tourists, Afghanistan – 343,600, Turkmenistan – 275,000, China – 176,900, Turkey – 129,900, India – 55,800, and South Korea – 35,200. Visitors from other countries totaled 435,000.
The growth in tourist arrivals reflects renewed interest in cultural and historical routes, as well as improvements in infrastructure and services for international visitors.
