Tour Operators in Uzbekistan Fined for Illegal Advertising of Umrah Services

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Competition Committee of Uzbekistan has identified violations of the Law “On Advertising” by several tour operators and media channels promoting Umrah travel services.

During inspections, the regional offices of the Committee in Navoi region and Tashkent found that MUS ALI TOUR LLC, Amirxan Travel, and TRAVEL ATA had published promotional materials without holding the required licenses, in breach of legal regulations. Administrative proceedings were initiated against these companies, and financial penalties were imposed.

Similar violations were detected in advertisements published by nine Telegram and Instagram channels — Farg'ona tour 2022, Saidislom, SUX Umra ziyorati, Musaffo Travel, Haj_2025, Shaxand va qo'shni hududlar, Leaf travel — as well as Mustafa Travel LLC operating in Ferghana, Namangan, and Tashkent regions. The responsible parties were subjected to administrative liability.

The Committee emphasized that, following the inspections, all measures provided by law will be taken to ensure compliance with advertising regulations and to protect consumer rights.
