Toshshahartranshiznat to use only buses, consuming diesel fuel
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Toshshahartranshiznat (Tashkent city transport service) Association will fully refuse from petroleum using buses due to high consumption and high petroleum prices.
According to the association, a tonne of petroleum is much expensive compared to diesel fuel (about 26.5%).
Some buses like LAZ consume petroleum 2.6 times more to 100 km compared to Isuzu or 35% more compared to Mercedes-Benz buses.
The association said use of Isuzu buses will help to decrease fuel consumption by 3.3 times and Mercedes-Benz by 1.7 times.
