Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As we have already reported, this morning, for technical reasons, the work of the Sergeli branch of the Tashkent metro was stopped. All passengers were safely evacuated.

According to the Toshkent Metro Unitary Enterprise, the reason for the stop of train traffic on the Sergeli branch of the Tashkent Metro was damage to the contact rail bracket.

Official investigation of the incident continues, the reasons are being investigated.

In the next few hours, the movement of metro trains on the Sergeli metro line will be restored.
