Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Six out of seven above-ground stations have been completed on the ring road of the metro station under construction at the Dustlik-Kuylyuk section.
The construction of the metro ring line continues according to the project implementation schedule and in accordance with building codes and technical requirements. The project was developed by specialists of Boshtransloyloya JSC and is carried out by specialists of enterprises and units of Kuprikkurilish Trust.
Last August, 2019, at the Dustlik-Kuylyuk section of the Tashkent metro ring line, construction work was completed at Dostlik-2 station and station 2 and the first rail and tie bars were laid, the first trains started moving in test mode without passengers.
“As you know, the distance from Dustlik-2 station to the Kuylyuk market is 11 kilometers and there will be only seven stations on this section according to the project,” says Aziz Abdiev, head of the Capital Construction Department of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC. - In the construction of a new and unique in the Central Asian region, the elevated metro line uses completely new technologies. In particular, the process of pouring concrete pillars for overpasses in a monolithic way has been mastered, materials and components that are produced in our country and meet all building codes are used. These days, finishing work is underway at all six stations, at the seventh station, near the Kuylyuk market, repair and installation work is underway. Only about two thousand specialists and builders, as well as over one hundred units of modern construction and special equipment, are involved in this construction.
Entrance to the station and ticket offices will be located on the ground floor, where rooms for medical, security and technical personnel will also be located. Station aprons designed for rolling stock of 5 cars have a length of 120 meters and are covered with marble tiles, and for the blind or visually impaired, special plates have been laid that are adapted to this category of passengers (there are special relief-point symbols). The roof has a roof covering, and two opposite walls are covered with a special composite material that protects from direct sunlight. It also has modern escalators and special elevators for people with disabilities. The surrounding territories around the stations are being improved, parking zones are being built through which it will be possible to climb to the station.
It is noteworthy that each station is constructed in such a way that reflects the character of the national architectural style and does not repeat each other in terms of appearance and decor. The various construction materials used and the special design techniques used give particular beauty to each station.
At the end of September 2019, a pilot batch of modern trains for the metro arrived from the Russian Federation to Tashkent.
At present, all five trains undergo daily tests at the Tashkent Metro on the Uzbekistan Line at a specific time. Specialists of Metrovagonmash carry out the connection and commissioning of the necessary technical equipment, adjust the operation of the electronics of the train, check the operation of the rolling stock according to various parameters.
