Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Toshkent Metro will be transferred to the structure of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a relevant resolution.

It should be noted that in 2016, Toshkent Metro was transferred from the Toshshahartranskhizmat structure to the Uzbekiston Temir Yollari structure.

According to the resolution, the leadership of the Toshkent Metro will be appointed by the Minister of Transport in coordination with the Cabinet of Ministers.

The resolution also approved a plan of priority measures aimed at ensuring the safety of passenger traffic and train traffic in the Tashkent metro for 2021-2023.
