Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In order to ensure timely and high-quality implementation of joint investment projects with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency JICA, the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Japan, working negotiations were organized in the format of a video conference with the director of the department for Central Asia and the Caucasus, Sota Tosaka, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokkio said in a statement.

During the videoconference, issues of the practical implementation of the agreements reached following the visit to Tokyo of the government delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov on 14-15 December 2020 were discussed.

The parties exchanged views in detail on the timely implementation of projects in various fields, including energy - "Construction of the third and fourth CCGTs at Navoi TPP", health care - "Construction of a medical center for neurology and stroke" and "Equipping the clinic of the Nukus branch of TashPMI with medical equipment", rural farms - "Development of the creation of a value chain in the horticultural sector, 1-2 phases."

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue negotiations in the relevant ministries and departments of the republic during the visit of the JICA mission to Uzbekistan on 10-17 February 2021.
