Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan held a meeting with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Takashi Uto to exchange views on enhancing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan reported.
During the meeting, the Japanese side highly appreciated the large-scale reforms carried out under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in various fields.
In order to implement the agreements reached within the framework of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Japan in December 2019, the ways to deepen the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan in the context of a pandemic, as well as the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed.
The meeting also discussed the issues of mutual support of candidates of Uzbekistan and Japan within the framework of international organizations, as well as close coordination of activities in the framework of the Dialogue "Central Asia plus Japan".
