Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 November 2021, the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Uzbekistan Mykola Doroshenko.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of Uzbek-Ukrainian relations, including inter-parliamentary ties, as well as further strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
Mykola Doroshenko highly appreciated the results of the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, noting that our country is open to closer international cooperation, conditions have been created for investment and economic growth.
The meeting discussed issues of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as in the fields of tourism, ensuring gender equality.
The parties discussed the possibilities of organizing and holding joint events aimed at strengthening the role of women in modern society.
Thus, it was proposed to hold a joint business forum using the opportunities of women entrepreneurs of both countries.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and bringing them to a new level.
