Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 December 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with Chairman of the Japan External Trade Development Organization (JETRO) Nobuhiko Sasaki.

The prospects for investment and trade relations between Uzbekistan and Japan, the implementation of joint projects in the metallurgy, textile, chemical and textile industries were discussed.

The Chairman of JETRO expressed his readiness to support in every possible way the growth of Uzbek exports to the Japanese market, product certification and the development of human capital.

Proposals for establishing cooperation between educational and research institutions of the two countries were considered.

Vladimir Norov invited representatives of Japanese business circles to take part in economic events held in Uzbekistan, in particular, in the second Tashkent Investment Forum.
