TIIM reorganized into Tashkent Institute of Engineers of Agricultural Irrigation and Mechanization

On 24 May, President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution “On measures to radically improve the system of training engineering and technical personnel for the agriculture and water sector”.

According to the resolution, the institute will train engineers and technicians in the field of agriculture and water management.

The Institute will carry out applied and innovative scientific research and developments, which will be aimed at solving scientific and technical problems of rational use of land and water resources, meliorative improvement of irrigated lands, increasing the level of mechanization of agriculture.

Uzbek leader instructed institute to develop partnership relations with leading specialized foreign educational institutions and scientific centers, including Russian universities.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev entrusted the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan - Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources Zoyir Mirzaev general management of higher educational institutions, which train highly qualified personnel for agriculture and water management.
