Three People Killed in Truck Accidents on Kamchik Pass in One Day
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Two serious road accidents involving trucks occurred on Kamchik Pass within 24 hours, resulting in three fatalities, the press service of the Namangan Regional Department of Traffic Police reported.
The first accident took place on 28 August at 04:40 on highway A-373. A Lacetti passenger car collided with a truck traveling in the same direction. One passenger in the car died at the scene, while another was hospitalized.
The second accident occurred at 08:39 in the same area. A Cobalt vehicle lost control and crashed into a truck traveling in the right lane, subsequently colliding with another truck. Two passengers in the car died as a result of the crash.
Criminal cases have been initiated under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan by the investigative department of the Pap District Internal Affairs Department. Investigations are ongoing.
