Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On additional measures for targeted support of the population in need of social protection.”
The President instructed to provide one-time material assistance to the following sections of the population in need of social protection at the expense of the State budget:
a) recipients of old-age pensions and benefits, disability pensions and benefits, disabled since childhood benefits, each family member of a recipient of a pension and survivor’s benefit, as well as recipients of benefits for the care of a disabled child under the age of 18 who need outside care:
in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regions - 300 thousand soums;
in the city of Tashkent - 400 thousand soums.
Recipients of pensions at the expense of the republican budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan, appointed by other bodies, receive one-time material assistance from the relevant ministries and departments on the terms and in the amounts provided for in subparagraph "a" of this paragraph;
b) for families receiving material assistance as low-income families, as well as for each child under 18 years of age from families receiving child benefits as low-income families, designated through the Unified Register of Social Protection information system - 200 thousand soums.
Persons entitled to receive one-time financial assistance in several categories, one-time financial assistance is paid for each category.
in Karakalpakstan and regions - 300 thousand soums;
in Tashkent - 400 thousand soums.
Recipients of pensions at the expense of the state budget, appointed by other bodies, one-time material assistance will be provided by the relevant ministries and departments.
Citizens who did not receive one-time assistance in a timely manner due to temporary absence from their permanent address or other circumstances are entitled to receive it until 1 September 2022.
The President instructed to form a list of families in need, including in the “iron notebook”, who did not receive one-time financial assistance based on this resolution, and provide each member of these families with 20 kg of flour free of charge at the expense of the Kindness and Support Foundation.
In addition, families in a difficult social situation should be regularly provided with free flour or material assistance in the form of cash from the Kindness and Support Foundation and other sources.
During 2022, a study of the condition of needy families in each mahalla gathering of citizens should be carried out on an ongoing basis.
It is expected that funds for 2.2 trillion soums from the state budget and 43 billion soums from the reserve fund of the Cabinet of Ministers will be allocated for the implementation of the measures provided for by the resolution.
