Thirty children without parental care abroad to be repatriated to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A working group comprising representatives from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Health has traveled to the Russian Federation to facilitate the return of underage Uzbek citizens who have been left without parental care. The operation is being carried out with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to the National Agency for Social Protection.
The primary objective of this mission is to repatriate children who, for various reasons, have lost parental care and remain abroad.
Currently, in cooperation with the National Agency for Social Protection, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Uzbekistan’s consular offices, efforts are underway to complete the necessary documentation for 30 children who have been left without parental guardianship.
The operation is taking place in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Astrakhan, Volgograd, Irkutsk, Chelyabinsk, Vladivostok, and Ulyanovsk, as well as in the Moscow, Leningrad, Oryol, Smolensk, and Vladimir regions.
Upon their return to Uzbekistan, the minors will be placed under guardianship according to a pre-established plan. The Inson social centers in their places of permanent residence will implement measures to integrate them into a family environment. Specifically, 23 children will be reunited with their parents, five will be placed under the care of relatives, and two will be assigned to alternative forms of guardianship.
It is worth noting that since the beginning of this year, Uzbekistan has already repatriated ten children who had previously been left without parental care abroad.
