Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Thirteen young people were hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning in Karshi. This was reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan.

On 19 December, at about 06:50, young people were admitted to the Kashkadarya branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Aid with carbon monoxide poisoning.

All the victims lived in a dormitory at a private training center in Karshi. According to preliminary data, the cause of the incident could be a faulty gas boiler, which was used in the hostel.

Five victims were taken to the hospital in a very serious condition, three persons were in serious condition. The rest of the victims received medical assistance on an outpatient basis. Doctors have stabilized the condition of young people.

The General Prosecutor’s Office reported that the prosecutor’s office of Karshi is conducting a pre-investigation check on this fact, the process is under the control of the regional prosecutor’s office.
