Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the invitation of the Azerbaijani side, Uzbek scientific circles visit Baku from 26 to 30 October 2021 in order to deepen cooperation between the think tanks of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, scientific exchange between the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) and the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications (CAERC) of Azerbaijan.
During the visit of the Uzbek delegation, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Center for Economic Research and Reforms under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The memorandum was signed by Dr. Obid Khakimov, Director of the Center for Economic Research and Reforms and Dr. Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Center for Economic Research and Reforms.
The memorandum envisages joint research and analysis by specialists from both centers, the organization of seminars and events, the study of the organization of scholarship programs and the implementation of mutually beneficial projects.
In his speech, the director of CERR, Dr. Obid Khakimov, touched upon the state and prospects of economic relations. He noted that the first results of the new stage of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan confirm the mutual disposition to search for new forms and directions of further trade, economic and investment cooperation, which will contribute to improving the well-being of the peoples of our countries.
Within the framework of the visit of the Uzbek delegation to Azerbaijan, a number of meetings were organized in the Administration of the President of Azerbaijan, the National Assembly, state agencies for the provision of services to citizens and social innovations ASAN and DOST, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) under the Ministry of Economy, Azexport (azerport. az) and Digital Trade Center, within which an exchange of experience took place.
