Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the Kosmonavti metro station, a small amount of smoke occurred in the metro carriage. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan.
“Today, on 23 December at 12:15 pm, there was a slight smoke in the third carriage of the train at the Kosmonavti metro station. The smoke did not cause a fire,” the ministry said in a statement.
Instantly, the passengers were escorted to the station. The fire and rescue teams of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene. None of the passengers were injured.
Experts have two versions so far: the first is that the brake pad is out of order, and the second is that the fuse has blown. Failed carriage was sent to DEPO for repair. This metro station is operating normally.
