Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Embezzlement in the amount of 899 million soums was revealed during the construction of the Circle Line of the elevated metro. This was announced by the transport prosecutor of Uzbekistan, Marufkhon Khodjaev, Uzbekiston 24 TV channel reported.

The transport prosecutor’s office of Uzbekistan and other authorized bodies conducted a study of the activities of the Tashkent metro after malfunctions in the capital’s metro.

According to him, 650 deficiencies associated with the human factor have been identified in the metro. During the construction of the Circle Line of the elevated metro, theft was committed for 899 million soums, he said.

Marufkhon Khodjaev said that a criminal case was opened on these facts and the perpetrators were brought to justice.
