Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A working group led by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis visited Navoi region. During the visit, attention was paid to familiarizing with the work carried out on the ground to improve the welfare of the population, create production, establish the activities of business entities, and support women.
In particular, the working group met with members of the women’s advisory council and women activists of the makhalla citizens’ gathering (MSG) "Durmon" of the Karmaninsky region.
It should be noted that the MSG building was reconstructed and commissioned, in which 3111 citizens live, including 1521 women. The territory of the mahalla is landscaped, asphalted, ornamental trees planted. In addition, a playground, a mini-stadium, a canteen, a sanatorium for the elderly and a women’s clinic have been built.
The 30 women included in the "women’s notebook" receive comprehensive support, their employment is in the center of attention. In particular, 16 women received permanent jobs, 15 received sewing machines on credit on preferential terms. Assistance was rendered in ensuring self-employment of 23 women and registration of their one year of work experience. Protective orders have also been issued to three women and the family atmosphere has improved.
Then there was an acquaintance with the activities of the enterprise "Durmon Textile". The company, which specializes in the production of textiles, has created 70 new jobs. It is noteworthy that women who are included in the "iron notebook", "women’s notebook" and "youth notebook" work here.
The next address is an ecotourism site in the Kanimekh district. The members of the working group got acquainted with the work done in this area.
After that, in the building of the district Spirituality Center, a meeting was held with members of the women’s public council of the district. Here a conversation was held with those included in the "women’s notebook" and their problems were studied. So, on the spot, appeals were resolved on a number of issues such as providing housing, restoring health, the allocation of preferential loans for establishing business activities, and employment. For some requests, instructions were given to the relevant responsible employees, their implementation was taken under control.
Then the members of the working group got acquainted with the activities of the Mingey Textile enterprise in the Navbakhor region. The cost of the project is 10.3 billion soums, 350 jobs have been created. There was also a meeting with women included in the "women’s notebook".
At the meeting with the deputies of the Navbakhor District Kengash of People’s Deputies, the emphasis was placed on resolving issues raised by the population and women, providing comprehensive assistance to women.
The working group also got acquainted with the activities of the monocenter "Welcome to Work" in Navoi. This monocenter is designed to train 3.4 thousand students per year in 32 areas. It also operates short-term courses in 4 foreign languages (English, Russian, Korean, Japanese).
A meeting was also held with members of the Senate, deputies of the regional Kengash of people’s deputies and the heads of the secretariats of regional and city Kengashes.
The state of work with citizens and families included in the "iron notebook", "women’s notebook" and "youth notebook" is considered. It was noted the need to pay special attention to supporting women in need of medical care, who want to start entrepreneurship.
