The working group headed by the Chairman of the Senate visited the Mirzo-Ulugbek region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 March 2021, a working group headed by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva visited Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent in order to study work on the socio-economic development of territories, improve the living standards of the population, support entrepreneurial activity and direct dialogue with the population.

First, it was familiarized with the activities of the consumer services point located on the territory of the MSG "Alisher Navoi". It should be noted that a training center, a district library and a sewing class for women have been built on a previously abandoned area.

The training center can simultaneously accept up to 20 students. The center is equipped with modern computer technology and special training equipment. Here specialists in various fields can teach in their fields of knowledge. In addition, the Center has a sewing workshop based on the Ustoz-shogird teaching tradition, which has 5 modern sewing machines.

It is noteworthy that special training courses have been organized for women in the mahalla. They are constantly sewing. It can be said without exaggeration that it has become the center of everyday consumer services for the residents of the makhalla.

Today, the makhalla library contains more than 5 thousand books of legal orientation, as well as fiction and world literature. There is also a dedicated collection of e-books for students. At the same time, the center has a hairdressing salon and an equipment repair workshop.

Communicating with women, Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis T. Narbaeva noted, firmly mastering the secrets of sewing, on this basis they can open their own business in the future. Moreover, the expediency of opening such centers in each district was emphasized.

The proposals and appeals of the population, especially women, were also heard. In particular, assistance was requested on such issues as the provision of preferential medicines to low-income families in need of social protection, the allocation of credit funds. These issues were taken under control and instructions were given to the relevant departments.

The members of the working group examined the well-maintained alley created for the population on the territory of the MSG "Chimyon".

It should be noted that today large-scale improvement works are underway on the territory. According to the previous state of the main busy street in the area, there was no sidewalk here. Garbage dumping sites on this street were cluttered.

It is currently being transformed into a beautiful place for relaxation and entertainment. That is, playgrounds, a parking lot, recreation areas for the elderly, bicycle paths, and new lighting equipment will be installed. It is important to note that no tree in the area will be damaged.

In addition, the members of the working group got acquainted with the activities of a modern private diagnostic center in the region.

About 120 women included in the "women’s notebook" or with health problems underwent free medical examination at this medical institution, they were given appropriate consultations. Today, almost 20 people in need of social protection underwent free medical examination.

Senate Chairperson T. Narbaeva stressed that it is advisable to provide medical services to the population, especially to women included in the "iron notebook", "women’s notebook", in particular, to conduct screening examinations to prevent cancer, increase social activity.

It was noted that in the coming days, this institution plans to examine another 100 women in need of social protection.

The next address is “Aigul” LLC, founded by a private entrepreneur in the basement of an apartment building in the makhalla of Hamid Alimjan.

The main activity of this business entity is sewing and decoration. Today the center employs 12 people.

In particular, the Aigul LLC enterprise created a training center, an office and a sports center, established a cooperative on the ground floor of the 3rd and 4th buildings at the same address. It is noteworthy that a total of 62 new jobs have been created in the basements of three apartment buildings.

The members of the working group got acquainted with the activities of a specially organized "Women’s Consultative Council" in the region. The role of the council is very important in the process of working with those who are included in the “women’s notebook”. This is because the problems of women are studied individually in conversation with them. Their consultations and communication with psychologists are organized.

Until today, about 70 women have applied to this council, and most of them have been given legal advice. Special seminars have been organized by psychologists.

Speaking to the responsible workers of this council, the President of the Senate stressed the need to train psychologists in family relations, to constantly improve their knowledge and skills.

In addition, the Chairperson of the Upper House of Parliament met with deputies of the Mirzo-Ulugbek District Kengash of People’s Deputies, district activists and representatives of the public. The meeting discussed issues of work with persons included in the "iron notebook", "youth notebook", "women’s notebook", the role of local Kengashes in this process, increasing the efficiency of the Kengashes’ secretariats. In addition, in this district, numbering 54 mahallas, the emphasis was placed on such issues as the exercise of parliamentary control over the work carried out in this direction. Suggestions and recommendations were made on these issues.

The proposals and opinions of the deputies of the regional Kengash of people’s deputies, representatives of the public were also heard.
