Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In January-October 2021, Uzbekistan imported 2.4 million tons of cement worth US$114 million, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan reports.

According to the committee, this indicator increased by 336,500 tons compared to the same period in 2020.

In the reporting period, Uzbekistan imported cement from Kazakhstan (1.1 million tons), Tajikistan (631.8 thousand tons), Kyrgyzstan (604.3 thousand tons), Iran (51 thousand tons) and Turkmenistan (35.6 thousand tons).

According to the State Statistics Committee, the regions that imported the largest amount of cement from abroad in the reporting period are:

Tashkent city - 1.2 million tons

Ferghana region - 391 thousand tons

Andijan region - 351 thousand tons

Namangan region - 140 thousand tons

Surkhandarya region - 110 thousand tons

Tashkent region - 91 thousand tons

Jizzakh region - 66 thousand tons

Samarkand region - 26 thousand tons

Bukhara region - 11 thousand tons

Kashkadarya region - 10 thousand tons

Syrdarya region - 8 thousand tons
