Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The video conference on improving the health care system chaired by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev continues.

Using the example of Syrdarya region, the tasks of each level of health care will be clearly defined and separate state-guaranteed packages of medical services and medicines will be developed.

At the same time, in order to provide the population with free medical services within the guaranteed packages, a sequence of issuing directions “rural medical center - polyclinic - central multidisciplinary polyclinic - hospital” will be introduced.

To finance guaranteed packages of medical services and medicines, state health insurance mechanisms will be introduced and a separate fund will be created.

The packages will clearly state which medical services are provided by SVPs and family polyclinics, and which diseases are treated by central polyclinics and hospitals.

The need to digitize all these processes was noted to ensure transparency of the system and rid doctors of paperwork.

For example, one doctor spends 60 percent of his workday filling out 10-15 paper reports.
